Common Examples of Where a Socket set is used. Part 3

2018-01-08
Sometimes a flat tire can occur anywhere.  Knowing how to change a tire is a neccesary skill for all drivers.
Because if you rely on a cellphone to call for roadside emergency, there may be a chance that you forget to bring or charge your cell phone.

Thankfully, with some quality hand tools and a jack, changing a tire isn't all that hard.
In this case, a mechanic can show you how to change a tire with ease

You need to have these items when you're changing a car tire:

1. Vehicle owner's manual.
2. 1/2" Dr. L handle{90 degree offset handle].
3. 1/2" Dr. F handle {long breaker bar}.
4. 1/2" Dr. 21mm spark plug socket.
5. A fully inflated spare tire.
6. A car Jack.

Again, you can use a couple different tools to change a tire.  Some will use lug wrench or a tire arm  instead of using offset handle.

Here 7 simple steps to follow:

1. Use your 21mm spark plug socket and offset handle to loosen the lug nuts.

2. You can use an iron pipe to give you more leverage to easily loosen the nuts.

3. Place a jack properly underneath the vehicle to safely lift the car.

4. Since already loosened, uncrew the lug nuts quickly by hand.

5. Remove the old tire and replace it with your spare tire.

6. Put the lug nuts back on the lug bolts and tighten them all the way.

7. Tighten the lug nuts as much as possible, finally tighten them with the F handle wrench.

NOTE:  please don't use ratchet to loosen the lug nuts, it could likely damage the sophisticated gear inside ratchet head.
usually people use an L-shape offset handle,an F handle,a long breaker bar,a lug wrench ,or tire arm.  These allow for more torque and levearge to remove and tighten the lug nuts.
